This course is an introduction to Literature where students will be acquainted with the major genres of Literature, classic texts, and authors, in addition to the importance of Literature. More specifically, students will have different lessons to introduce them to prose fiction mainly the novel, its genres, elements, characteristics, literary devices, and major works. In the second part of this course, students will be introduced to Poetry and Drama.
By the end of the course, students should be able to recognize the different literary genres, and analyze different literary texts.-
