§  Allah (SWT) said: "...And Hajj (pilgrimage to Makkah) to the House (Ka'bah) is a duty that mankind owes to Allah, those who can afford the expenses (for conveyance, provision and residence); and whoever disbelieves (i.e., denies Hajj, then he is a disbeliever of Allah), then Allah stands not in need of any of the Alamin (mankind and jinns)." (3:97)

§  Additionally, the Prophet Muhamad (peace and blessings be upon him) emphasized how significant these rituals are by stating., "From one Umrah to another is expiation for what is between them (i.e., of sins) and Hajj Mabrur has no reward except Paradise."

§  (Agreed upon) He also noted, "One who performed Hajj and did not speak obscenely, nor act corruptly, will return without his sins, like the day his mother gave birth to him." (Agreed upon)

§  Moreover, he instructed, "Take from me your rites (the rituals of the Hajj)." (Muslim)

Muslim were advised by the Prophet (PBUH) to fulfill their obligation of Hajj only when they have sufficient funds to cover the cost of the round trip journey. Muslims must not wait until they have enough money to buy presents and sweets etc., for friends and relatives after the Hajj, as these are not valid excuses for delay. They don't know, perhaps they will get too sick to travel, or get poor, or die; and in that case they will die in a state of disobedience.

The messenger of Allah (PBUH) further highlighted the importance of ethical preparation for Hajj and Umrah, stating that the wealth used must be Halal (earned lawfully) for Allah to accept it.

He also specified, "It is forbidden for a woman to travel for Hajj or anywhere else without a Mahram to accompany her." In addition, before embarking on Hajj, he suggested reconciling with those you have conflicts with and paying off your debts.

Hajj serves as a significant congregation of Muslims, providing an exceptional opportunity to strengthen bonds, assist one another, and address communal issues beneficial to both religious and worldly affairs. Stressing complete reliance on Allah.

§

·         Hajj Mabrur is the Hajj accepted by Allâh for being performed perfectly according to the Prophet's Sunnah with legally earned money avoiding the sin and evils during Haji.

·         A Mahram can be her husband or a close male relative not permitted to marry her.

Allah (SWT) said, "Say (O Muhammad): I invoke only my Lord (Allah Alone) and I associate none as partners along with Him." (72:20)

Furthermore, the Prophet (PBUH) mentioned that performing Umrah during Ramadan equates to the reward of a Hajj. "Umrah in Ramadhân is equal to a Hajj (in reward)." (Agreed upon). He also taught about the extraordinary value of prayers in Al-Masjid Al-Haram in Makkah, where one Salat is worth more than 100,000 Salât in other mosques "A Salât in this Masjid of mine (i.e. in Madinah) is better than 1,000 Salat in any other Masjids, except Al-Masjid Al-Haram (i.e. at the Ka'bah in Makkah)." (Agreed upon) And his statement: "And Salât in Al-Masjid Al-Haram is better than 100 Salât in my Masjid." (Ahmad, and it is authentic).

Finally, he advocated for the practice of Tamattu', The best way to perform the Hajj and Umrah, which means you perform Umrah first, then come out of Ihrâm until Hajj starts, whereupon you put on Ihrâm again. The Prophet is reported to have said: "O family of Muhammad! whoever performs Hajj amongst you should enter Ihram for Umrah along with Hajj." (Ibn Hibban, and graded authentic by Al-Albâni).
